About the Project for World Peace
Between abundance and collapse lies the most critical threat to the survival of humanity, intractable large-scale conflict arising out of an inability to integrate the many cultures, values, and traditions we find amid human society. Chief among these conflicts around the globe are the long-standing turmoil in the Middle East, the Israel-Palestine conflict, Kashmir, North and South Korea, Russia and the former aggregation of territory and peoples of the USSR (currently the Ukraine conflict), and various African countries. As civilizations have come and gone, no paradigm to address such large-scale human conflict has ever been developed. Using the foundational theory of ‘integration’ developed by Gaytri Kachroo (SJD Harvard Law School), the Project for World Peace (PWP) seeks to implement this new paradigm. While conflict between people has been an inherent part of our past, more recently, humanity has developed internal and external resources through various advances in science, technology and social sciences. These internal and external resources can be integrated into this paradigm creating a new framework for human governance and conflict resolution. The major values in an integrated form of governance of peoples is the notion of ‘kindness’ and ‘care.’ These concepts are cornerstones to an integrated framework for our economies, resource allocation, disaster relief as we encounter the earth’s changing climates as well as disasters encountered by people occupying conflict-ridden territory. The chief aim of The Project for World Peace is to achieve an equality of opportunity to achieve happiness, prosperity, creativity without the distraction of constant worry of violence in all its forms, be it economic, institutional, sexual (such as through human trafficking), physical (such as through war), climactic, cyberthreats, marketing or propaganda impinging on human privacy.
Mission
The Project for World Peace (the “PWP”) is a 'Do' tank and social enterprise inspired to promote peace and prosperity initiatives through a variety of advanced, dynamic, and sustainable technologies that address steep economic and other disparities world-wide based on differences in gender, culture, tradition, and values. On a current and more practical level, PWP will mobilize to provide disaster and poverty relief to disenfranchised populations, subaltern sectors of society with urgent need for survival and care. On a long term level, PWP Addressing intractable world conflicts deploying this innovative methodology, PWP's focus 'thought' project is centered around a fully participatory framework for human governance, comprised of ethics, rules and interactive bridges to forge a technologically advanced future realm, where human and technological solutions in concert address and abate violence in all of its forms.
